Here's a running list of Tuesday's Josh Hamilton rumors:
– The Boston Red Sox are among the four or five teams showing interest in outfielder Josh Hamilton writes Rob Bradford of WEEI.com. He adds though, that teams are waiting to see “if there is anybody willing to go as many as four years on the outfielder,” since they're only interested in a short-term deal.
– Even though the Seattle Mariners said last month that they won't be big players in the Josh Hamilton's sweepstakes, Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports says that they're at least “exploring the possibility of signing him.” Team's officials met with Hamilton on Sunday, according to Rosenthal, but General Manager, Jack Zduriencik, declined comment yesterday regarding the meeting.

The Seattle Mariners are making a strong push to sign free
agent slugger Josh Hamilton and they are actually “very close” to getting a
deal done, reports Geoff Baker of The Seattle Times.
But I’m now told the talks between the two sides have been a
lot more serious than anyone has let on and that they are actually “very close”
to getting a deal done.

Josh Hamilton was selected first overall in the 1999 Amateur Draft by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, touted by scouts as one of the most pure talents [...]

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Josh Hamilton is the biggest name on the free agent market -- and also the biggest mystery. There has been nearly a total news blackout on Hamilton's negotiations with clubs, and that is the way the outfielder's agent, Michael Moye, wants it. Moye is a firm believer that making contract talks public works against his clients. The biggest news on the...
The Boston Red Sox already added free agent outfielders Shane Victorino and Jonny Gomes in the offseason, but that isn't stopping them from talking to the highest-profile outfielder remaining on the free agent market. Josh Hamilton spoke with Red Sox manager John Farrell and general manager Ben Cherington on Wednesday, according to multiple media reports out of the winter meetings...
The Texas Rangers and slugger Josh Hamilton are making progress on
a deal, according to sources.
At this point, it will be an upset if the Texas Rangers do not land one of the top two free agents.
Could be outfielder Josh Hamilton. Could be right-hander Zack Greinke. Could be neither, likely will not be both.
The Rangers are competing for both players, major-league sources say, while also continuing to engage in trade discussions for Arizona right fielder Justin Upton, Tampa...
Seattle being aggressive in meetings
With plenty of noise in the Mariners camp, we’re recapping recent Seattle rumors coming out of the Winter Meetings.
M’s are targeting outfielders
About this time last month, it was reported that the Mariners were surprise suitors for Josh Hamilton. Now that other big market teams seem to be back in the running, Hamilton looks like more of...
The Texas Rangers have been the most aggressive team in
pursuit of free agent slugger Josh Hamilton, reports Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.
#Rangers most aggressive team on Hamilton, according to source. Would ease sting of losing Napoli. #Brewers on periphery with Hamilton.

The baseball offseason is entering its second month, and so far the biggest story has been the Miami Marlins salary dump.
Thats about to change.
The annual winter meetings begin Monday at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn., the ideal site for an event headlined by free agents Zack Greinke and Josh Hamilton.
The elaborate Opryland think sprawling...
Josh Hamilton, Zack Greinke, and Justin Upton are three pieces of three monster deals that could be on verge of either getting done at any moment, or fall apart at the last minute.
That’s all fine and dandy, but there are plenty of other players, serviceable players that are available that no one talks about.
Look at Randy Choate for example. According to Jon Morosi’s...
The Texas Rangers have a child-like Christmas list of needs as they shop around at the Winter Meetings this week in Nashville.
Texas could certainly use some bullpen help. They have to get a starting catcher. Getting a legit No. 1 would be a nice present too. And that doesn't include getting the No. 1 gift on the wish list of several teams Josh Hamilton.
But it's possible...
This year at the Winter Meetings, one team seems interested in every hitter on the market: the Seattle Mariners. They've apparently talked about (and this is not an inclusive list) Josh Hamilton, Michael Bourn, Billy Butler, Jason Bay, Raul Ibanez...you get the picture. Every and any hitter with a pulse has been mentioned in the same breath as the offensively challenged Mariners...
The goals of Texas and Arizona are driving talk of three- and
four-team blockbusters at the winter meetings ? and also might shed
light on what is happening with the two biggest free agents,
right-hander Zack Greinke and outfielder Josh Hamilton.
