If you were building a fantasy baseball roster from scratch, the following players would force your buddy to pose the question: "How'd you manage to draft all of them?"
Catcher - Jonathan Lucroy
1B/DH - Travis Hafner
Shortstop - Troy Tulowitzki
Outfielder - Matt Kemp
Outfielder - Nick Markakis
Starting Pitcher - Roy Halladay
Starting Pitcher - Jared Weaver
This starting seven all hit the disabled list this week and swept the proverbial leg of many fantasy baseball owners.
The latest duo to hit the DL was Matt Kemp (hamstring), for a second time in a month, and Troy Tulowitzki who is dealing with a groin injury.
Here are my top five fantasy available replacements for Kemp, their ownership percentage and stats for the last 14 days:
- Dayan Viciedo - 5 HR / 16 RBI / 11 R (46.2 percent ownership)
- Mike Trout - 8 RBI / 9 R / 3 SB (65.6 percent ownership
- Alfonso Soriano - 5 HR / 8 RBI / 6 R (19.3 percent ownership)
- Scott Hairston - 4 HR / 10 RBI / 6 R (0.6 percent ownership)
- Jeff Francouer - 4 HR / 7 RBI / 7 R (55.5 percent ownership)
Here are my top five fantasy available replacements for Tulo, their ownership percentage and stats for the last 14 days:
- Ian Desmond - 3 HR / 8 RBI / 7 R (63.5 percent ownership)
- Alcides Escobar - 15 hits / 7 R / .313 BA (22.3 percent ownership)
- Dee Gordon - 2 SB / 11 hits / .297 BA (54.9 percent ownership)
- Alexei Ramirez - 13 hits / 8 RBI / 4 R (58.0 percent ownership)
- Willie Bloomquist - 15 hits / 7 R / .366 BA (2.9 percent ownership)

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed Matt Kemp on the 15 day Disabled List a couple of weeks ago when he suffered a hamstring injury. Kemp said he never felt that bad, and would definitely be back as soon as he was eligible to return to the lineup.
Well, he was right. He returned the first day possible. He then went on to injure himself during that same game, and now he is...
The Dodgers amazingly performed well without Matt Kemp, going 9-5 while the superstar center fielder was on the disabled list due to a left hamstring strain.
They might have to attempt to duplicate the feat, as Kemp is hurt again.
In just his second game back from the disabled list, Kemp aggravated his left hamstring injury while scoring from first base on a first-inning double...
The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed center fielder Matt Kemp on the 15-day disabled list for the second time this month because of a left hamstring strain.
The move came Thursday after Kemp went 1 for 4 with a double and a run scored in two games since being reinstated from the disabled list two days earlier.

After being re-aggravating his hamstring in the first inning of today’s game, Matt Kemp went into a bit of a rage about it, jumping and breaking a bat over his knee before throwing pieces of it all over the dugout
The Los Angeles Dodgers placed outfielder Matt Kemp back on the 15-day disabled list on Thursday after he aggravated his hamstring injury, but Kemp said he expects to be sidelined for a month. Kemp is out of action again just two days after being activated from the disabled list. Kemp reinjured his left hamstring while running the bases in Wednesday's game. To replace Kemp...

The Los Angeles Dodgers have all but ruled out injured slugger Matt Kemp for next month's All-Star game in Kansas City.
''It's a long shot at this point because he's not healthy,'' general manager Ned Colletti said Monday before the opener of a three-game series at San Francisco.
The slugging center fielder is still recovering from a strained left hamstring...
LA Dodgers star Matt Kemp re-injured his hamstring on Wednesday in Milwaukee's 6-3 win and will undergo an MRI on Thursday. Matt knew it. Started treatment early by breaking a bat over his knee. It...

Matt Kemp‘s MRI showed that he has suffered another strain in addition to the original one. The results of the MRI on Matt Kemp’s hamstring showed he not only re-injured the original strain Wednesday but suffered a second one. LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers entered their Thursday night affair with the Brewers after already having lost the series, dropping their third game in a row Wednesday night becoming the last team in the league to do so.

And the baseball drama continues, as no division is safe in the 2012 season.
Competition is ridiculously fierce, but the injuries are getting out-of-hand.
Teams have to continue on without their stars, like the Phillies sans ace Roy Halladay; the dominating Dodgers without their dominator Matt Kemp; and the Cardinals add Lance Berkman to the list of reigning Champs on the DL.
