MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Twins announced the completion of the Drew Butera trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers. In exchange for Butera, the Twins received left-hander Miguel Sulbaran from the Dodgers.
Sulbaran is a 19-year-old pitcher from Venezuela who pitched this year for the Class A Great Lakes Loons of the Midwest League. In 23 games (16 starts) this year, Sulbaran was 6-4 with a 3.01 ERA. He struck out 85 batters in 92 23 innings while walking 27. He's allowed just three home runs this year.
This completes the trade for Butera, who was dealt to the Dodgers for a player to be named later or cash back on July 31. Sulbaran will report to Low-A Cedar Rapids.
