Twins starter Correia encounters unlucky No. 13

MINNEAPOLIS -- For the second night in a row, a Twins starting pitcher was knocked from the game far too early. While it was an injury that did Phil Hughes in on Thursday, Kevin Correia lasted just four innings Friday because the White Sox hit him early, often, and hard. During that span, Correia allowed seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits as the Twins fell 9-5 to Chicago. Correia...

Perkins helps save much-needed victory for Twins

MINNEAPOLIS -- Not much has come easy for the Minnesota Twins this season. The ninth inning of Sunday's game against Chicago was no exception. After the Twins came back to take a lead in the seventh inning, the White Sox scored once in the eighth to cut Minnesota's lead to one. Yet even with All-Star closer Glen Perkins in to pitch the ninth, things got dicey for the Twins...

Kendrys Sleeplys Without Seattle

Back in June, about six weeks ago, the Twins were liking their chances this year. They went out and spent money on Kendrys Morales, just to put them over the hump.
