MINNEAPOLIS The Minnesota Twins made several roster moves Friday, outrighting four players to Triple-A Rochester. Outfielder Jason Repko, catcher Rene Rivera, infielder Matt Tolbert and pitcher Anthony Slama were all outrighted to Rochester on Friday. The Twins also reinstated pitcher Nick Blackburn and infielder Alexi Casilla from the 60-day disabled list, meaning Minnesota now has 38 players on its 40-man roster. Of the four players outrighted, Tolbert spent the most time in the majors this season. He played in 87 games as a utility infielder, but hit just .198 with a .252 on-base percentage. He drove in 11 runs and had 12 extra-base hits. Rivera was recalled from Rochester in early May when Minnesota catcher Joe Mauer was out with bilateral leg weakness. Rivera served as the team's backup catcher behind Drew Butera with Mauer out. This season marked Rivera's first at the major league level since 2006, when he was with Seattle. He batted .144 with five RBIs in 45 games this year. Repko, 30, missed the end of the year with a concussion, but played in 67 games as a backup outfielder. He hit .226.270.286 with 11 RBIs this season, his second with the Twins. Slama pitched in just two games for the Twins this season. He dealt with an elbow injury, as he was diagnosed in August with a flexor pronator muscle strain in his right elbow. Slama appeared in 27 games this year for Triple-A Rochester after making his major league debut last season.
