The Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA) failed to elect anyone to the class 2013 for the first time since 1996.  The list of names that were shuned included Barry Bonds, Mike Piazza, Sammy Sosa, Alan Trammel, Jack Morris,  Craig Biggio and Roger Clemens. Biggio was the closest to being elected but came up 39 votes short of the 427 needed.
