Two Hawkeyes Earn Preseason All-America Recognition

From John McGraw and the PGCBL Keystone College senior infielder Esteban Meletiche (Cooperstown 2011) and Texas Lutheran University senior Brad Orosey (Cooperstown 2010) have been named to D3baseball.com’s 2012 Preseason All-America team. Meletiche, a second baseman, was one of 10 position players to earn first team All-American status. Orosey, a starting pitcher, garnered accolades as an honorable mention All-American. The two former Cooperstown Hawkeyes were among 54 players nationally in NCAA Division III to be named to the squad compiled by D3baseball.com. ^^^ Esteban Meletiche was one of the top offensive players on a Keystone College team that advanced to the 2011 NCAA Division III World Series. At the end of his junior season, he was selected to the D3baseball.com All-America second team.
