Is the excitement over? Good, now I can get back to staring at drywall, which is only slightly less riveting than the last week in sports. Rollins shot off his mouth and backed it up with a scathing .217 — a number that dwarfed Ryan Howard’s 13 K explosion and Shane Victorino’s …ummm… why exactly do people like him again?
Same goes for the Yanks, who watched their $8 trillion first baseman get trumped by a lame duck Japanese import who’s already booked a one-way flight to Seattle.
And yeah, that’s about all I could muster about this series. I thought of a million ways to recap the week, but the guys at Sports Pickle just did it much, much better. Some highlights...
