And so, in 2 short weeks, Utley will head to Clearwater, Fla., where he will continue rehabbing his surgically repaired right hip under the watchful eye of head athletic trainer Scott Sheridan.
Since having surgery in New York to fix an injury that had nagged him since last spring training, Utley has spent 5 days a week at Citizens Bank Park readying himself for a return to the baseball diamond. According to both player and team, the rehab has gone as well as could have been expected, meaning there is a reasonable chance that his return to the field is more toward the optimistic end of the 4-to-6-month recovery timetable initially prescribed.......
