Good ole Gene Lamont had his windmill going in the third base coaching box again and (per usual) the throw beat the runner by a good amount. But Victor Martinez bailed out Lamont something fierce tonight. The throw beat Martinez and A's catcher Kurt Suzuki was ready to apply the tag, but V-Mart outfoxed him. It wasn't really a slide. It was more of a maneuver. And it was a slick maneuver. And umpire John Hirschbeck got the call right.
