In the video above (via CSNWashington.com) a bespectacled Jayson Werth and his impressive beard comment on DC as a baseball town at NatsFest on Saturday:
"The exciting thing is the town is supporting the baseball team now...that's what we hoped for. I said that when I signed here, it would take us winning to get that to happen."
If not for the glasses, we might have to agree with the coment by CSN Washington's Michael Jenkins at the end of the clip: "He's been living in a forest for the past three months."
