Found March 11, 2013 on Nationals Enquirer:
So Gio Gonzalez and Joe Torre met with the media on Monday in advance of Tuesday's Team USA matchup against Puerto Rico in the second round of Bud Selig's World Baseball Classic. Gio talked about eating chicken wings (file under: Chicken Mode) and drinking "water" while rooting on his mates, and drops several Steve McCatty references. Seems Gio is pretty excited about repping the USA in his hometown on Tuesday night. Here's video of his presser, via MLB.com: Befriend Nats Enquirer on Facebook. Follow on Twitter.

David Wright and Gio Gonzalez lead USA to 7-1 victory over Puerto Rico

In the first round of the 2013 World Baseball Classic, Team USA often found themselves playing from behind, always in search of a big hit, always needing a strong bullpen outing to keep the game close or preserve a tight lead. The knuckleballs weren't floating, they weren't bunching their hits the way a lineup like theirs can, they just weren't quite right, for lack...
