PLAYERS: Miguel Cabrera
TEAMS: Detroit Tigers
Your browser does not support iframes. MLB pitchers haven't found a way to slow down Miguel Cabrera... but lifeless squares on a baseball diamond?  That's another story.  The reigning Triple Crown winner and AL MVP lost this battle with third base at Progressive Field last night in a Tigers victory over the Indians.  After biting the dust, Cabrera (ever the showman) doffs his cap to the crowd as the Tigers dugout erupts in laughter.  Thankfully for Miggy and his mates, the Tigers had plenty to laugh about as they swept the Indians this week to take their AL Central lead to 7 games. Miguel Cabrera tripped over third base

Here is your 2012 Triple Crown winner tripping over third base and tipping his crown to those who witnessed the Detroit Tigers' best slugger have a bit of a Cleveland Indians moment:  Cabrera had another three runs batted in to help the Tigers complete the four-game sweep and the Indians pitched Ryan Raburn. I think Cabrera made out okay.

Cabrera homers as Tigers beat the Yankess 9-3

By chance if Yankees pitchers this weekend have gotten by Austin Jackson — it hasn’t been easy — they have confronted a serial basher named Torii Hunter in the No. 2 spot in Tigers manager Jim Leyland’s lineup. And if they have snuck past Hunter which didn’t happen Saturday during a four-RBI day they then have had the distinct privilege and high honor of facing Miguel...

A-Rod struggles; Yankees win in 10th

Another blown save by Mariano Rivera. A bunch of boos for Alex Rodriguez. A bevy of runners left on base. All that, and still a win for the New York Yankees. Rodriguez got jeered in his return home and the Yankees overcame Miguel Cabrera's crushing home run off Rivera, beating Detroit 4-3 in 10 innings Friday night and snapping the Tigers' 12-game winning streak.
