While it is not overly graphic, it is certainly a difficult injury to observe. Atlanta Braves pitcher Tim Hudson suffered a lower leg injury during a routine cover of first base. His right foot ended up right in the middle of the bag when he made the play at first, and it was at that same time that Eric Young of the Mets step right on his leg, causing his lower leg to bend, quite simply, the wrong way. We are hoping that it looks much worse than it actually is, but it doesn’t seem possible when seeing it slow downed. Hudson was 7-7 on the season, starting 20 games and had an ERA of 4.08 and 86 strikeouts. H/T BLS
