Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Brad Lincoln is trying to prove he has got the pitch it takes to be the Bucs fifth starter.  Lincoln worked two scoreless innings yesterday against the Minnesota Twins in a B game.  Reports were he used his change up effectively.

The game received much hype as Justin Morneau returned to action after suffering a well publicized injury.

In the video below, you can see Lincoln getting Morneau to ground into a fielder’s choice.  Lincoln had gotten himself into a bases drunk jam in the first, but bounced back with a speedy six-pitch second inning.

Morneau showed that the Twins did the right thing too, just watch him take one compact swing in his second at-bat and the ball flys.  It was refreshing to see, even if it came at the Pirates expense.  (Pretty sure it’s number 64 Bryan Morris on the bump for the Bucs.)

Check out the video of Kyle McPherson who was added to the 40-man roster this offseason. We tried to convey how humble this player is, have a listen for yourself.
