This was due to the fact that at 34 years of age, Guerrero was a lot more likely to be injured if he had to play in the field every day, so regardless of whether he liked it or not this was Vlad's new reality.Guerrero is currently on the disabled list because of strained muscle behind his left knee and a strained hamstring in the same leg. An injury he sustained while making a play in right field back on July 7th, one of only two games in which Guerrero had seen any action in the field this year.
