The Tribe Daily:
I want to apologize for the lack of updating.
Just when I thought I was adjusting to the exhaustion, it kind of hit me the past two days.
It wasn't really work exhaustion. But rather, freakin' Indians exhaustion.
Jerks.
Let me catch up though with these past three games.
I was getting ready to discuss the game on Tuesday, but then that little blown save deal sort of set me off and I got too angry to write.. Then my anger continued with the game on Wednesday and I went to bed before it was even over. Combine that with Orlando putting up a cruddy first half, I wasn't in the mood.
But lo and behold, my mood is uplifted with a series win and a comeback last night against the Cavs that I thought was a dream this morning.
I didn't even see this game either, but man it looks like things are starting to settle down.
Cabrera is now our leadoff shortstop, for reals and he's hitting a monsterous .327.. Jhonny Peralta is looking pretty good over at the hot-corner, and this bullpen, aside from that Kerry Wood meltdown, is starting to actually do some stuff.
Speaking of Kerry Wood.. What the hell was up with that? He gets one out on Tuesday, then can't get a single out before letting four runs score to lose the game, then he comes back the next night.. Walks the bases loaded with a one run lead and manages to actually save things.
I only know two closers that liked to do that stuff, Joe Borowski and Bob Wickman. Now Kerry is going to do that stuff to us? Glad I wasn't watching at that point.
But hey, their third series win and what kind of encouragement is this?
They managed to take two of three, could have swept, with arguably the Royals three best pitchers and the best pitcher in the entire game right now. Greinke had his worst game, which still by normal standards isn't even that bad. In fact I think anyone will take two runs out of six innings.
Um I thought I had a lot of thoughts.. But I kind of don't in an aspect that things have gone so well these past two games, I think I'm going to keep it simple stupid and not jinx anything. I'll be doing some nice updates tomorrow morning on the Minor Leagues and everything. If you didn't hear, for Arkon, Jeanmar Gomez threw a perfect game. We start up interleague play fort hat one weekend in May on Friday against Cincinnati and we've got some changes as far as the starters go.
Volquez has been moved back, as has Reyes, who's now pitching on Friday against Bronson Arroyo. Edinson Volquez is going on Saturday against David Huff who will make his second start and on Sunday Cliff Lee tries again against Johnny Cueto, who seems to be pitching well this year, so that will be good.
