Ti's such a fun game, theoretically simple; implied and practical at every end. One hits a spherical object with an extended and hardened artifact, the sphere travels proportionate to the effort applied then runs to a pre-designated place before the object batted is retrieved and applied at that designated area. However, over time this game has become complicated and refined to where only the truly blessed have a fair means to take part in its performance at such elevated levels. What happens to those who have seen their abilities ,once adequate, deteriorate? The game once simple has turned vicious!
Jonathon Lester and David Ortiz have suffered frustration at their highest rise, Both superbly suited to their craft, confident and tuned near perfection they have fallen without warning to a performance level sub-par. On a more self involved team, or one where the letter "I" has replaced the word "Team" the two would have been dispatched callously somewhere to right their listing ships but this is not so in the land of baseball purists. The Boston Red Sox realize potential and are well acquainted with those whom have given freely and completely of themselves for the organization.
batting just .197
3-5: 6.07 era
The Boston Red Sox continue to work with these two stars because the are convinced of their character and value. They are not likely to give up on them nor push them into an embarrassing situation. The organization is class-from Owners to G.M and right on through their club house attendants. We'll gladly wait for Jonathon and Papi to come around so just relax and find your center guys, all is groovy in the end, wait and see.
