Found May 14, 2013 on FF Locker Room:
Outfielder Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals has suffered a left shoulder bruise and is now considered day-to-day. The good news is that the X-rays that he took as a precaution came back negative. The injury is related to him crashing into the right field wall face-first and did require 11 stitches on his chin so it is a little more serious than what it sounds, but still he shouldn’t require a stay on the disabled list. Bryce Harper felt carsick today, but was most upset about shaving his beard

Up above: Bryce Harper sans beard on Tuesday night, a night after running into that pesky right field wall at Dodger Stadium and getting 11 stitches (which required him to shave his beard). So, how's he feeling? "I feel kind of crappy today. I feel a little carsick, I guess you could say, like the feeling of that. I don’t have a concussion or anything like that...

No concussion for Bryce Harper, Mike Rizzo still wants him to play "100 miles an hour with his hair on fire"

And so, in spite of Bryce Harper saying he felt "carsick" on Tuesday after his crash into the right field wall at Dodger Stadium Monday night, the Nats are apparently confident that he doesn't have a concussion. Meanwhile, the debate rages about whether or not Harper plays the game too hard, hard enough, or just plain stupid. Here's Nats GM Mike Rizzo weighing...

Video: Senator Harry Reid discusses Bryce Harper running into wall on Senate floor

It's fairly well documented that Senator Harry Reid -- who shares the home state of Nevada with Bryce Harper -- is a big Bryce Harper fan. Exhibit A: Reid invoked Harper's "That's a clown question, bro" line at a press conference last summer. So it should come as no surprise that Reid discussed the injury Harper suffered after running into that wall at Dodger...

Bryce Harper: A Modern Day Classic

Much has been said about Bryce Harper in the beginning of what looks to be a historic career in the making.  In the first 9 games he played, MLB analysts started comparing him to the great number 7, Mickey Mantle. And this year, many have been breaking down the unconventional swing of Bryce Harper and comparing him to the great Babe Ruth. Anyone that knows me knows that I am not...

What Would Crash Davis Say About Bryce Harper’s Toenail?

I know I’m a little late to the game here talking about Bryce Harper and his ingrown toenail. Honestly, I wasn’t going to say anything about it. But for some reason I was thinking about Bull Durham and what Crash Davis would have to say to Harper. True words of Wisdom. I bet Harper’s shower shoes have fungus on them. If only Harper had a Crash Davis to show him the ropes of...

Thankfully for the Nationals, Harper avoided serious injury, and should be able to avoid a DL stint. But after this incident and...

Bryce Harper and the Dodger Stadium Wall

Anyone who has read this blog knows that what I’m about to write about Bryce Harper certainly isn’t because I’m just being a ‘hater’. I was watching live last night when Bryce Harper ran into the wall. I played baseball long enough to know that when I watch that picture above and see the play, I wonder why he doesn’t feel the warning track under him. I wonder why there’s...
