MVN:
Wednesday's games feature some streaking teams, both winning and losing streaks. Plenty of good pitchers are pitching as well. A couple poor performing pitchers are going as well. We also get a rematch of the two best pitchers from the 2008 postseason. New York Yankees at Atlanta: The Braves gave Chien-Ming Wang his sixth loss of the season on Tuesday behind the four RBI, two apiece, of Brian McCann and Garrett Anderson. The Braves try to win again on Wednesday, and up their winning streak to three, against Joba Chamberlain. This game is on ESPN. Boston at Washington: Jon Lester takes the mound, looking to up Boston's winning streak to four-in-a-row. Lester is 2-1 with a 1.67 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, and 38 strikeouts in 27 innings in his last four starts. Chicago Cubs at Detroit: The second game of this series features another great pitching matchup. Rich Harden takes on Rick Porcello. Porcello is 7-1 with a 2.42 ERA and 1.27 WHIP since May 1. The Cubs have averaged 3.3 runs per game with a .236 batting average in their last 30 games.
