They should find another catcher. There are some really typical Indians free agent type targets that could be available at catcher this off-season. Carlos Santana could play first and catch a little bit, or just move to first full-time. The Indians might also have Nick Johnson available as depth on the bench depending on LaPorta. The Pirates certainly won’t pick up the TWO-YEAR option on Ryan Doumit. They would have to give him both years and he has only played 75 games this season.
