It appears Josh Hamilton has a headstart in this category. He had a homer and drove in three runs on Friday, going 3-for-3. The Rangers must have Hamilton and Ian Kinsler in the second half to have success. It was something manager Ron Washington touched on in the pregame chat with reporters on Friday. Here's the question: Which Rangers batter will have the best second half? Lots of choices, there. Will it be Michael Young, who has hit well all season, but hasn't put up the same big numbers with runners in scoring position that fans are used to? What about Hamilton, who is returning from injury? Kinsler looked tired toward the break, but hit some balls hard on Friday. Can he return to his early-season form? What about Elvis Andrus?
