Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after a night in the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.
Last night my daughter and I met up with grandpa to catch a good pitcher’s duel and for the most part Eric Stults and Cliff Lee delivered. Unfortunately Lee was better, mowing down the Padres in quick innings of work. With a 3-0 lead Cliff Lee came out to pitch the 9th and promptly surrendered a single to Carlos Quentin and a double to Chase Headley. Lee was pulled, the Padres rallied, and just like that the game went to extra innings where the Padres won the game 4-3 on a walk-off single by Kyle Blanks. The Padres are back in third place at 39-38, three games behind Arizona.
