Alex Rios may stay with the Chicago White Sox for the remainder of the 2013 season but it is worth noting that someone placed a claim on him.
Thus far the team who claimed Rios is unknown and waiver claims hardly produce a trade at this time of the year.

The White Sox had plenty of time to trade Rios, 32, leading up to the July 31 trade deadline but opted to keep the outfielder. Rios is under contract though the 2015 season.
Under waiver rules the White Sox can only attempt to work out a trade with the team who claimed Rios. If a trade is not reached the White Sox have the option to either let him go to the team for nothing, or pull him off waivers thus keeping him.
