Bryan Bullington, Number one overall pick in the 2002 MLB draft

As many of you may know by now, our Kansas City Royals took down the defending world champions yesterday afternoon to earn a 2-2 series split with the New York Yankees. The surprising result from the game wasn’t the win but was the way the game was won. Without the excellent starting pitching of Bryan Bullington, and Joakim Soria's club record 25th consecutive save, the Royals would have gone down. At 29, this was Bullington’s first career major league victory in seven professional starts.
