Trying to read between the lines it looks like Dan Murphy's bat is going to find him a place on next years team. In case you've missed it Murphy is currently playing 2B in the Arizona Fall League and hitting an even .400. I don't see Murphy playing 2B unless they can't move Castillo and he still looks awful resulting in a benching, if Castillo is moved I think they will sign Orlando Hudson. Omar indicated that he envisioned Murphy eventually moving to 1B and if Delgado is traded that could be as soon as this year. More then likely Murphy will return to left field, but that makes the team extremely lefty heavy in the starting line-up and even though he showed the ability to hit left handed pitching the team needs to get some right handed bats on the bench.Ramon Castro, Marlon Anderson and Endy Chavez are all signed through next year. I'd rather see the Mets find a back-up catcher that can stay healthy but I think Castro will be back. I can't see anyway Marlon ...
