I notice that all of those absurd comparisons of Matt Wieters to Joe Mauer that I used to cringe over during the last three years have finally ground to a halt.   I guess batting averages of .249, .262, .249 and .227 since 2009 will do that…   And I won’t even bring up his on-base percentages compared to Mauer’s over the same time period… Be sure to let us know what you think. Leave your comments below….   End, Clifford Santa Monica

Baltimore Orioles’ Manny Machado And Chris Davis Stretch A Web Gem

The corner defence proved valuable for the Baltimore Orioles once again with Manny Machado and Chris Davis completing the 5-3 put-out. Machado bare hands and tough throwing off balance to an out stretched Davis.  The slugger looked more like a gymnast stretching before a tumble routine. The Orioles are proving defence wins games. Kid gives Baltimore Orioles pitcher double-barreled middle-finger salute (photo)

Huh. Something tells me this young man isn’t a fan of whichever Baltimore Orioles pitcher was on the mound during a recent Cleveland Indians game (Eye on Baseball speculates that it is Brian Matusz) at Progressive Field. Either that or he just doesn’t like baseball all that much, which is a shame, given the primo […]The post Kid gives Baltimore Orioles pitcher double-barreled...

Norris allows one run in 7IP to lead the Orioles to 7-2 win over the Indians

Two days into the final month of the baseball season the bats are back — and so are the smiles — in the Orioles clubhouse. The Orioles jumped on the Indians bullpen early...
