Home Run Derby:
Sammy Sosa hit Home Run #599 on Friday Night and no one seems to care.
Some might say it's because Barry Bonds is overshadowing him, but Sosa really did it to himself.

I get the impression that everyones wants him to just get 600 and retire and be done w/ him...I highly doubt he'll make the HOF

As a Cubs fan, I care about Sosa and his 600. Sammy was one of the nicest guys in pro sports and it has been proven that steroids can't make a superstar. Look at Jason Grimsley and all the minor leaguers who tested positive and they didn't amount to much. Sammy was a great player and still is good. He should make the HOF. He never tested positive. It wasn't like he acted like a jerk such as Barry Bonds. Sammy was my hero when he played for the Cubs. I know all about the cork ad the forgetting english, but he has always been a great player and humble superstar.

It's amazing that there is someone out there that fans care less about than Barry Bonds. Maybe it's good Sosa no one is really paying attentiion to his 600 HR. It probably would have only brought more bad press to the game if they were.

I dont care who you are, steroids do not help you to make contact with the ball. I personally know half a dozen college players who juice... and they still suck. Give the man his props
