Colorado is likely looking to move Brad Hawpe this offseason. Here’s why the Cubs will acquire him He has a career wOBA of .372 He’s left-handed He hits ~25+ HRs a year He’s not Milton Bradley He hasn’t been driven away by the bleacher crowd ala Mike Cameron Sadly, he’s also epically horrendous on defense. His career UZR/150 in RF is -19.9. In 2008 he posted a legendary -37.2 UZR in RF. Even Adam Dunn is floored by that number. Because of this, he posted a -0.7 WAR in 2008 despite a better-than-good .379 wOBA on the year. FML. The only silver lining here is that Colorado is getting rid of him because they have an OF logjam, so they probably don’t want Bradley. However, Hendry could trade Bradley somewhere else and still try to get Hawpe.
