From Larry Brown Sports:
Rays second baseman Will Rhymes collapsed into the arms of his first base coach after being hit by a 95mph pitch during the 8th inning of Wednesday’s game. Rhymes was hit by a 2-2 fastball from Red Sox reliever Franklin Morales directly on the forearm. He immediately went down in pain, but he managed to make his way down to first base. Shortly after reaching base, Rhymes took a few steps into foul ground where he passed out in the arms of coach George Hendrick.
Surprisingly, X-rays were negative and Rhymes is considered day-to-day. The team believes he passed out because of an “adrenaline rush” after being hit.
It’s easy to see why he was in shock after being hit — look at the welt it left on his forearm:

Rhymes was in good spirits after the game and when he woke up before being carted off the field. Reporters say he called himself “Batman” after being asked who he was. Calling himself “Batman” was a joke and reference to an old commercial. He also was laughing and joking when he discussed the situation with reporters after the game:
