Marti Wolever (CsnPhilly.com)A statement from the Phillies:Marti Wolever has been promoted to Assistant General Manager, Amateur Scouting, Senior Vice President & General Manager Ruben Amaro Jr. announced today.Wolever had been the Phillies’ director of scouting since October 2011.  Prior to this role, he served as the club’s national cross-checker and scouting coordinator for nine years.“Marti has played an instrumental role in securing some of our top talent since joining the club,” said Amaro.  “We are pleased to recognize his numerous contributions with this promotion.”Wolever oversaw the drafts that brought Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard and pitchers Cole Hamels, Kyle Kendrick, Vance Worley and Mike Stutes to the team.
