Mike Lamb was placed on waivers by the Twins to make room for everyday Eddie Guardado. Lamb signed a two year deal during the off season and has struggled in his return to the American league in which he's only hitting .233. Lamb was much more successful in the National league with the Stros where he hit around .280 over four years. The 33 y/o left handed hitting player is a veteran of eight seasons in which he has a lifetime average of .277, he's primarily a 3B but has played 1B, 2B, C and OF in the majors. While I don't think there's room for him, some see the Mets showing interest if he clears waivers.....The Mets and Brewers are also expected to consider Lamb assuming he clears waivers and can be signed for the Major League minimum. source Inside Pitch
