In the 19th round the Yankees selected former major leaguer Brian Jordan’s son Kevin Jordan out of high school. Jordan is a very gifted athlete, but this is easily going to be one of the more difficult signings out of all the draft picks. He’s a big center fielder and a five-tool athlete that most certainly would have gone higher in the draft had he not gotten sick and lost 15 pounds. So he’s probably going to go to college, he’s already committed to Wake Forest, unless the Yankees give him the money that he expected had he gone in the top few rounds.
This is another great signability guy. If the Yankees manage to sign him it’ll be one of the best picks in the draft. Unfortunately, I doubt they’ll be able to sign him. We’re most definitely going to have to wait until the August 15th deadline on this one.
