OAKLAND, Calif. -- Mark Teixeira hit two homers and drove in five runs to pace the Yankees in another big offensive day as they beat the A's 9-2 on Saturday. Teixeira, who also homered on Friday, had four hits. Robinson Cano also homered for the second consecutive day and had three hits. The Yankees have now scored 23 runs on 32 hits, including nine homers, in the past three games. The club had been slumping, at least by its standard, at the plate. C.C. Sabathia picked up the victory by tossing seven innings, beating Bartolo Colon in a matchup of former Cy Young winners. Colon, who was a revelation pitching for the Yankees last season, has struggled after a great start with the A's this season. He had a 2.83 ERA after his May 5 start. After giving up six runs in six innings Saturday, Colon has now allowed 17 earned runs in 20 innings. Colon is also 1-4 with a 7.23 ERA in five starts in Oakland this year.
