The Yankees have agreed to a one-year deal that will earn him $508,925 with reliever Cory Wade if he stays in the majors for the entire season, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com.
Wade, 28, was a great pickup by the Yankees last season. They grabbed him after the Rays released him and he ended up making 40 appearances, throwing 39.2 innings to a 2.04 ERA. His numbers, a 6.8 K/9 and a 1.8 BB/9 were very impressive and unlike Luis Ayala, Wade may end up contributing this season.
