A poor start by Ivan Nova put the Yankees behind 5-1, but they were unable to comeback today as they lost to the Texas Rangers 5-3 at the stadium Friday night. Nova really just didn’t have any control tonight as he walked five batters in 4.1 innings and also had one wild pitch. That lead to the Rangers scoring five runs off him. David Robertson came in relief and was also wild, throwing two wild pitches and walked another batter in just 0.2 innings. Boone Logan pitched a good 6th inning, but the big suprise was the recently called up Lance Pendleton who pitched three perfect innings to hold the Rangers, but the Yankees failed to capitalize. The Yankees got on the board on a Nick Swisher RBI-single in the 3rd. They also got runs on a Curtis Granderson solo shot in the 8th and an Eric Chanvez RBI-single in the 9th.
