Brian Cashman slept in an alley on Wednesday.
No, the New York Yankees did not literally kick their general manager to the curb. Cashman opted for his one-night sleeping arrangements outside the Covenant House Crisis Center on 41st Street in Manhattan for charity.
"I don't know how difficult it is to live on the streets, but I'll live through certain elements tonight," Cashman told the New York Post.
Cashman is on the board of directors at the charity that helps homeless youths and tries to get them off the street. He joined others from various places of employment and standing in business, sports and entertainment that spent a night out in the cold.
