Derek Jeter has played a grand total of one big league game this season, and he won’t play another for at least another week or so. The Yankees placed the shortstop on the 15-day disabled list Friday after his latest injury setback. The move is retroactive to July 12, but the 39-year-old’s status after the stint runs out may be up in the air, too. Jeter, who rushed back from rehabbing a broken ankle suffered in last year’s playoffs, aggravated his hamstring. He played just the one game on July 11 and then didn’t play again before the All-Star break. There was talk that Jeter would go on the DL, and that move was made official Friday. The Yankees have called up Brent Lillibridge from Triple-A to take Jeter’s place. Jeter played in just four rehab games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre with 13 plate appearances before being activated.
