From Jerry Crasnik of ESPN.com:
The New York Yankees, still in the market for pitching help, are stepping up their pursuit of free agent Justin Duchscherer, a baseball source told ESPN.com.
Duchscherer would give the Yankees another option for the end of the rotation. The Yankees need starting pitching, and it couldn’t hurt to add a guy like Duchscherer and see if they can get a good year out of him. The more arms the Yankees can scrounge up to battle for rotation spots, the better.
