The Yankees signed infielder Chad Tracy to a minor league deal and will asign the 30-year old veteran to Triple-A Scranton.
Tracy has played 28 games for the Cubs this year, but will probably not play much, if at all, in the Bronx this year. This likely is for minor league depth which the Yankees will need now that they could be dealing 2B David Adams to the Mariners in the Cliff Lee deal.
