Yankees vs. A's Series Preview

Yankees vs. A's@ New Yankee Stadium(3 games)It was an interesting opening series at the New Yankee Stadium as the Yankees split four games with the Cleveland Indians. Homers flew out of the bulidng at a record pace, and the Yankees got blown out twice, 10-2 on opening day, and 22-4 on Saturday. In the games the Yankees won they showed great comeback ability and several Yankees came through with some very clutch hits. No matter how it happened I'll take the split. It could have been a lot worse. The Yankees are currently 7-6 and sit by themselves in second place in the AL East behind the red hot Toronto Blue Jays.Oakland comes into town for the first time this year and they bring with them an old friend, number 25, Jason Giambi, number 25. They also bring with them a much improved offense from than last year's team. Besides Giambi, they've added Matt Holiday, Orlando Cabrera, and Nomar Garciaparra.
