Renfroe, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound shortstop, worked out for the Red Sox last weekend in Fenway Park and will be at Yankee Stadium on Thursday to put his tools on display for Yankees officials. Because the Mets were in Boston at the time, David Wright and Bobby Parnell watched Renfroe take batting practice and raved about his performance.
