Cuban phenom Yasiel Puig has been the most interesting man in MLB this season. Part of Puig’s appeal has been the mystery surrounding him. He doesn’t speak English, so all of his quotes get washed through the translation machine, and since his quotes usually generate from the pre or postgame media scrum, they’re particularly vague and generic. Enrique Rojas of ESPN Deportes sat down with Puig, though, and the resulting tidbits are illuminating, and some are downright hilarious. Via Chad Moriyama, we get some selected translations: “I’m happy, Hanley [Ramirez] is happy, [Juan] Uribe looks scared. What an ugly face my friend Uribe has. But I love him.” “I came to this country to play baseball and give the best on the field. What people think outside the field, I don’t worry.” “I don’t worry what the media says, I just play ball.
