The Dodgers outfielder has played in 80 of 82 games since joining the Dodgers including 76 starts. Yasiel Puig was removed from Monday's game against the Rockies in the sixth inning after the Dodgers outfielder appeared to have some sort of an issue with his knee. The Dodgers announced that Puig left the game with a mild right knee strain. Puig reached first base on a throwing error by third baseman Nolan Arenado to open the sixth inning then advanced to third base on a single to right field by Adrian Gonzalez. But Puig appeared to over-slide the bag at third base and remained on the ground on his knees for a moment. He appeared to be shaken up a bit and in talking to third base coach Tim Wallach pointed to his knee.

Rapper Mr. Criminal Makes Horrible Entrance Music Video For Yasiel Puig (Video)

Yasiel Puig is a bit of a diva. Heck, if you spent the majority of your life on a tiny communist island then to become a millionaire before the age of 25 you’d be one too. But with that said, what in the blue hell is a music video entrance? Players are known to pick music to step up to bat to, usually a five to ten second sample of a song to get them in the zone. Puig has taken...

Yasiel Puig Won the Game for the Dodgers Today

The game was tied 1-1 when the Dodgers hero stepped to the plate and delivered one of those trademark streamer fly balls into the middle part of those yellow bleachers beyond the Dodgers outfield. Vin Scully gave his customary home run call – “She is gone” and with that the Dodgers took another game in that glistening park of theirs out in LA. Puig had two hits on the day...

Dodgers' Yasiel Puig not ready to go full speed

Yasiel Puig probably could have played last night in the Los Angeles Dodgers' win over the Colorado Rockies.  However, he is not quite 100 percent.  Rather than rush him back, the Dodgers gave him the night off and they will re-evaluate today.  With a comfortable lead in the division race, Los Angeles has the luxury of trying to get their players as healthy as possible. ...

Dodgers' Yasiel Puig day-to-day with mild knee strain

During today's Dodgers game, outfielder Yasiel Puig awkwardly slid into first base and had to leave the game with a mild strain of his right knee. It turns out the injury isn't too serious, but it will cause him to miss some time. Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports that Yasiel Puig will not be playing tomorrow's game against the Rockies. While Puig&...

CONFIRMED: Yasiel Puig Still has a Cannon

It is baffling that folks still think it is a smart idea to test Yasiel Puig’s arm. The latest victim of the Puig cannon was Rene Rivera who tried to score on an Andrew Cashner’s single. The result was what you would expect it to be. [MLB] Article found on: Next Impulse Sports

Yasiel Puig exits, but Dodgers still win 10-8 over Rockies

The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their roll but the man most often credited for starting it left the game with an injury. Yasiel Puig was lifted after he hurt his right knee sliding into third base in the sixth inning of the Dodgers’ 10-8 win over the Colorado Rockies on Monday at Coors Field. He briefly stayed in the game and scored a run but was replaced by Skip Schumaker...

Injury Roll Call: Kemp to return when he can get a hit + Puig hobbled by knee but not major

Matt Kemp will continue his rehab in Arizona, participating in simulated games as he looks to get back the timing he had in the 11 games prior to injuring his ankle. Matt Kemp struggled mightily on his minor league rehab assignment in five games with Class-A Rancho Cuamonga, but now that the Quakes’ regular season has ended Kemp will not stay in southern California. Kemp will continue...

“Oh to be 22 and a Dodger.”

I am stealing a segment from Real Time with Bill Maher – New Rule: no more running on Yasiel Puig. So Saturday night San Diego Padres pitcher Andrew Cashner hit a single to right field which made Rene Rivera commit to running to home plate from second base. Keep in mind that there were already two outs with the Padres up 1-0 so maybe it could be argued that Rivera should have stayed...

Kershaw hit hard, Dodgers top Rockies; Puig hurt

Clayton Kershaw turned in a clunker, a rare bad outing for one of baseball's best pitchers. After the game, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly was asked a question he hardly ever hears: What's wrong with Kershaw? ''Who got the win today?'' Mattingly teased. Kershaw, of course, even if he didn't have his electric stuff. The lefty surrendered a...

Web Gems Of The Week: Andrelton, Lawrie, Puig, Iglesias, Reddick, Leonys, Sogard

If I did every plus defensive play Andrelton Simmons makes, I would run out of bandwidth. —– Yasiel Puig guns down Marlon Byrd at third, ho hum —– Yasiel Puig can throw. People will learn this at some point. Brett Lawrie with a probably unnecessary but still amazing throw. Everybody’s seen this Jose Iglesias gem by now, right? Don’t sleep on Josh Reddick or Leonys...
