Blue Jays vs. White Sox: Home-plate umpire Gary Cederstrom lost track of the count during an Adam Dunn at bat last night. So he decided to use one of his lifelines and phoned a friend. Yes, of course Cederstrom is one of 6 umpires that the MLB chose to serve as instructors at the 2011 MLB Umpire Camp.

  • I actually feel bad for the guy. He was probably so embarrased. I guarantee you he won't be letting that happen again.
  • Really not an issue!!! Surprised this sort of thing doesn't happen more often. Ump should be admired because he displayed the fortitude to make it right.
  • what an ahole he gets paid enough to no his job
  • I suppose you have never made a mistake. It's obvious. Not everyone understands the difference between "know" and "no".
  • Ditto, tchroach.
  • Agree w happycamper and tchroach. This guy should be honored. He sucked it up, obviously took accountability, and took the steps required to make the count right.

Oh and onlyt121....what's embarrassing is that your spelling is on a grade school level.
  • Give the guy a break. He was honest and it took a lot of courage to do the right thing.
