A young New York Yankee fan threw away a baseball that was handed to him by Yankees manager Joe Girardi during last night's game in Kansas City against the Royals.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Girardi gave the ball to a boy wearing a Yankee hat who was sitting within reach of the Yankee dugout. However, after holding the ball for a second or two, the boy threw the ball away.
What was wrong with the baseball? Was the boy not really a Yankee fan? It's not clear from the video, but what is clear is that the kid clearly did not appreciate Girardi's nice gesture. Next time, kid, say thank you and hold on to the baseball.
