Found May 03, 2013 on Mr. Irrelevant:
Here’s a post from our friends at TiqIQ. Following a series split with the Atlanta Braves to stay within two and a half games of Atlanta in the NL East, the Washington Nationals turn their focus to a new month with the first 29 games of their season behind them. With Bryce Harper returning to the lineup just one day after leaving early with an injury to his left side, the Nationals look to be hitting their stride from last year having gone 5-3 against the Reds and Braves in a critical eight game span over the past week. Unfortunately for the Nationals, they will take to the road a decent amount in the month of May with 16 games on the road compared to only ten games within the friendly confines of National Park. Five of these games will come in the next week in a half as Washington experiences the allure of full-season interleague play when the Detroit Tigers come into town in a quick two-day weekday series on the 7th and 8th. As a typical weekday series, these two games will not ...

Video: Bryce Harper's new GEICO commercial

Up above, Bryce Harper's new GEICO commercial, in which he tells a kid that there's no crying in baseball after a cup of fruit punch gets spilled on his shirt, and later shows up at a fake press conference wearing that kid's shirt. Surprisingly, no clown question references. Befriend Nats Enquirer on Facebook. Follow on Twitter.

So Bryce Harper left last night's game in the sixth inning, causing quite a scare. In the video above, Harper and Davey Johnson discuss the injury. Good news: it's not his oblique. Bryce Harper wears little kid’s stained shirt in new GEICO commercial (video)

Bryce Harper continues his assault on becoming one of the biggest stars in Major League Baseball and most popular players in the blogosphere with a new commercial for the insurance company GEICO. The Washington Nationals young superstar displays some comedic chops as he assists a young boy whose shirt is stained when a pal’s drink is spilled on his No. 34 shirt when Harper strolls...

Manny Machado Isn’t Bad for 20 Years Old Either

Contrary to popular belief there are two 20 year old studs playing in the DMV. I will start this article off by saying this is not a compare and contrast between Manny Machado and Bryce Harper. Harper is a stone cold stud and what he is doing to live up to expectations none of us know anything about is pretty incredible. Harper is the best player on his team at 20 years old. That...

Bryce Harper departs with contusion, avoids more serious injury

Washington Nationals outfielder and reigning NL Rookie of the Year Bryce Harper has given Washington fans a scare after leaving last night's 2-0 victory over the Atlanta Braves, with what apparently looked like an oblique injury, but in fact was a result of a play Harper tried to make on Tuesday night, says James Wagner of the Washington Post. Harper seemed to have hurt...

Harper in Nats' lineup, shoulder X-rays negative

Washington Nationals left fielder Bryce Harper was in the lineup Thursday night against Atlanta after X-rays on his left shoulder were negative. Harper winced on a check swing in the sixth inning of Washington's 2-0 victory on Wednesday and soon left the game. Harper said he was diagnosed with a bruise under his left shoulder blade. Washington manager Davey Johnson said Harper...

Aching Harper to see knee specialist

The swelling in Bryce Harper's left knee isn't getting any better, so the Washington outfielder will see a specialist next week and won't be coming off the disabled list when he is eligible. Nationals manager Davey Johnson said Thursday that Harper visit Dr. James Andrews on Monday for a second opinion on the knee that has been troublesome ever since the 20-year-old...

So, Bryce Harper Got Hurt Tonight

There goes months of analyzing data and building a fantasy team I was set to roll with for nine months. All that hard work, all down the drain. My wife is in her hometown visiting family this week. When she called to say goodnight I had little to say. I am beginning to think I should quit following baseball and should take up a new hobby like Star Wars or Dungeons and Dragons or something. Why me.

Bryce Harper wants Washington Nationals fans to keep ‘The Wave’ going

Some Washington Nationals fans want to see "The Wave" abolished, but star outfielder Bryce Harper says not so fast.

The Nationals Are Trying To Fight Through Current Injuries

Nothing can derail a team faster then a bunch of aches and pains that turn into DL injuries. The Nationals are not lacking in that department right now. There 2,3 and 4 hitters are right now either dealing with an injury or in rehab for one. And there star pitcher is suffering for forearm tension. Ryan Zimmerman was put on the 15 Day DL with a strained left hamstring. He was then...

Another solid start from Dan Haren; and suddenly the guy Mike Rizzo thought he was getting has arrived. Dan's problem? Trying to throw gas like Strasburg, Gio, and J-Zimm: "That was the problem. Manny Machado: Superstar in the Making

Last year, Mike Trout and Bryce Harper had two of the best seasons for age-19/age-20 players in baseball history. We might not ever see anything like Trout’s 2012 season from a 20-year-old again. Those two ruined our expectations for what underaged position players are supposed to do in the big leagues. Everyone else pales in comparison to what we just saw. That shouldn...

Zimmermann Dominates, Harper Leaves Early With Injury, Nats Break Losing Streak Against Braves

The Nationals have had a rough go of it against the Braves going back to September last season. Until Wednesday, the Nats had lost their last eight against their rivals, but the Nats new stopper, Jordan Zimmermann, was on the mound to take care of business in a 3-2 victory that allowed them to return to the .500 mark at 14-14. Jordan Zimmermann has quickly emerged as the Nationals...
