Every morning we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump...

During an appearance on WEEI's The Big Show on Wednesday, Pedroia claimed he will enter spring training looking like Dolph Lundgren, the famously fit Swedish actor most commonly known as Ivan Drago from Rocky IV.

"I'm going to look like Dolph Lundgren," Pedroia said. "I'm ready. I'm back."

NESN: Dustin Pedroia Says He's 'Going to Look Like Dolph Lundgren' for Start of Spring Training

Leave it up to Pedey to compare himself to a guy like Dolph Lundgren, who once played one of the most hated characters in movie history. You have to love it, even though that bastard, (spoiler alert) killed Apollo Creed. Wait...he didn't specify...Dolph Lundgren now, or Lundgren 1985? Let me do a Google Image search...

It doesn't matter, Pedey can't lose if he looks like Lundgren 1985 or today.

Anyway...Pedey has some work to do to look like a tall blond boxer, standing 6'4"ish, maybe in the 250-260lb range. The point is, he is in shape and ready for the 2012 season. Pedey is a guy that I am least concerned with going into this coming season. The team has a lot of work to do and Dustin assured everyone they will be fine...

"We'll be fine. Guys are going to have to step up," Pedroia said. "I just found out about Carl having surgery yesterday. Guys are going to have to step up. We'll weather the storm until he gets back. I don't know how long his rehab and stuff is going to be. You never know. He might be ready for opening day and stuff, so we're hoping he gets better soon and gets out there."

If Pedey says they will be fine, then all will be well. Crawford's surgery will definitely hurt the Sox. Scott pointed out the effects the same surgury had on Vernon Wells, and if that is true for Crawford, this is going to be a terrible season for him. Something to look forward to.
