Chicago Cubs Online:
According to multiple reports Thursday afternoon, Carlos Zambrano "spent Thursday at the hospital being evaluated and treated for appendicitis-type symptoms." The Cubs stated "tests for appendicitis proved negative." Zambrano was expected to be re-evaluated on Friday.
Jeff Baker left Thursday's game in the eighth inning after losing all vision in his right eye. According to Lou Piniella, Baker "had no vision" in his right eye and they had to get him out of there. The Cubs are evaluating Baker.
