You may not think much of him, but like it or not, Alberto Callaspo will be the primary third baseman for the Angels this year. Will this be the year Alberto wins everyone over or just gives his detractors more ammunition?

Arbitration Situation: Alberto Callaspo
In the next few weeks, the Angels will have to start getting into arbitration discussions with some of their key players. Up next is the incumbent starter at third base, Alberto Callaspo.
Callaspo is coming off arguably his best season in the majors, yet that has still left the Angels and their fans wanting for more. His bat is passable but not really much of an asset...

As hinted two days ago in "Dayton Moore nixes trade of Alberto Callaspo to Los Angeles Angels," it was an unlikely rumor that Dayton Moore was to decline such a trade offer.

Alberto Callaspo Traded to Angels
It was just announced that the Royals have made their first trade of the deadline season, sending Alberto Callaspo to the Angels for left handed pitcher Sean O’Sullivan and minor league lefty Will Smith (let the Fresh Prince jokes commence).

Alberto Callaspo and the Revolving Lineup Spot

He certainly wasn’t one to subscribe to the theory of crafting a batting lineup based on player archetypes...
